We are studying the development of transgender and gender diverse youth as they progress through puberty. The aim of this research is to understand the experiences and needs of transgender and gender diverse youth as they mature through puberty.

STUDY GOALS

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Youth who are 9-15 or in the early stages of puberty who are transgender, gender non-binary, or gender diverse may be eligible to participate.

WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS BE ASKED TO DO ?

  • Youth and parents will be compensated for their time.

  • The results of this study may provide information that could help inform various treatment decisions during puberty for transgender and gender-diverse youth.

  • Parents may also request a short report summarizing the cognitive and behavioral testing.

This study includes three study visits. During eachvisit, your child will receive behavioral testing and an MRI scan. While getting the scan, your child will complete compuerized tasks. Parents will complete questionnaires at the appointment.
